Bye claims Big Seven Tournament Title


Bye volleyball team capped off an outstanding season by winning the Big 7 Championship this week, defeating Test in an exciting final match. The victory marks the Tigers’ first conference title since 2021 and highlights a season defined by teamwork, determination, and consistent performance.

The championship match was a battle from start to finish, with both teams trading points in long rallies. The Tigers pulled ahead late to secure the win in a five-set thriller. Marie English led the offense with 16 kills, while Austyn Laures added key digs and defensive stops to keep the team in control.

Head Coach Kayla Dempsey praised the effort and focus of the players. “This team has shown so much growth throughout the season,” said Dempsey “Every player contributed to this success, and it’s a great reward for all the hard work they’ve put in.”

With the conference title secured, the Tigers now advance to the State Tournament, where they’ll look to continue their momentum and compete for a deeper postseason run.
